Urban fruits and Veggies has it’s own urban farm and purchases from local farms when demand out paces supply. UFV is extremely concerned with how the produce is grown and the quality of the produce when delivered to customers. Only the best seeds, soil and organic fertilizers are used when planting, we look for the same standards when partnering with local farmers.

We are an Urban Agriculture Business

Our management team have all been GAP trained. Our focus is food safety and proviiding a quality product grown with the best non-GMO seeds, quality soil and NO pesticides! We partner with local farmers who have the same focus on safety and quality.

Allison DeHonney | President CEO

Allison is ownerf and operator and has several years of experience managing and operating businesses. Her administrative history is merged with her perpetual drive to help her commnuity.

Sandra Bynum | Gardener

Sandra has over 30 years experience with a wealth of practical knowledge related to gardening. Her most remarkable qualities are her nurturing ways and work ethic. This combination of knowledge and dedication are a source of inspiration to the community and team.

Services

Home Based

The company provides neighborhoods in the WNY area with health food choices.We meet our where they are to alleviate transportation issues that are prevalent in some local neighborhoods. The lack of transportation for many families limits their options when it comes to food choices and more specifically health food choices.

Planting

We help construct, set-up and manage hop houses, greenhouses and grow spaces in urban aresa both soil and hydroponics.

We also provide trees, flowers, soil, fertilizer and mulch.

Education

We educate residents in our local neighborhoods about how to make healthier descisions when it comes to their nutrition. In addition, the ultimate goal is to help promote good dietary choices. These choices help children function better in school, provide higher energy levels and contribute to the all-around good health in our community.

The company works with the community to provide training and education to school age children, teens and adults.

Urban Farms

Our Urban Farm

Our main Urban Farm is located at Dupont Street and Glenwood Avenue in the City of Buffalo.

We locally grow produce and provide schools, both public and pprivate, at the elementary level all the way up to colleges and universities. We also provide to businesses and restaurants.

Bailey Green

Our second Urban Farm, coming soon, will be a mix of hydroponic and soil farming.

Urban Fruits and Veggies will build multiple hydroponic greenhouses, a fruit tree orchard, community garden and a street level cafe and green market. In addition, there will be apartments on the upper floors on East Ferry street.
